Two of the managers me to my unit and indicated that this building was built in 1929 and that has asbestos and they told me it says in my lease. Even though there are nine months let in my lease they agree for me to break my lease and will refund my security deposit. They refunded to have the unit tested for asbestos. And they rely want to get red of me. Am i entitle to get refund of all the rent I paid plus relocation fee and security deposit. I will be happy to move out by the end of the month. The bulding has 130 unit. The landlord realy intimitated by me. The know i can go to the housing and city of Los Angeles. Please advise.
They are being perfectly reasonable and you are the one trying to stretch it out. What have you done that entitles you to refunds of all rent, relocation and security deposit? You are just looking for a free handout.
They are being generous by letting you break the lease. it's your fault you didn't read it--and if you can't read well--you should have had someone else read it for you. They could easily enforce the lease against you and not let you out.
Get your security deposit and go find the next LL you're going to make miserable.
