when father calls to his ex's cell phone to talk to his child; the mother records all conversations. father has told her to stop, if not he will go to the police since she is violating federal and state laws of privacy. However ,the mothers claims that she is giving consent to his underage daughter to record all those phone calls and it is not illegal. Both have joint custody. It it legal or illegal what the mother is doing it. Will the police intervene and file a criminal complaint against the mother?
Get an order from the court to stop this nonsense. The police will not intervene in a private family matter where technically she can give consent on her daughter's behalf.

You may need to file a motion in court to get this stopped. Its unlikely that the police in Newark will spend any time about this. Get a motion filed, and an Order from the Court. Please consult an attorney.
