So the first time she got caught without a license was a few months ago, didn't have her headlights on, got pulled over, and ticket. She got caught again about last week for going a few mIles above the spred limit,no license.
what's going to happen? LIke I said she's not a citizen here.
I know illegals will be able to get licenses just next month, will this affect her chances of getting a license? Or will she even be in the country?
Your mom will still be in the country. She will not be deported for driving without a license. I would advise your mom to hire an attorney to represent her for her most recent driving without a license charge because your attorney can continue the case so that your mom could actually get a license and then get the case dismissed.
Your mom needs to be the first person in line to get a driver's license come January 1, 2015. She should also hire an attorney to leverage the new license to its full benefit to her. She may have to serve a short jail term nonetheless, but if she opts for city jail (also called private jail), she will not be subject to an ICE hold and deportation.
Your mom needs to get a driver's license ASAP. She needs to retain an attorney to handle the matters in court. Good luck.
