A small fire accident happened and left some lingering smoke smell in the rental room (other rooms occupied by landlord). Landlord has been harrassing and threatening and extorting-- wanting an overhaul for the house. Verbal abuse and eviction. Renter conceived one to two days after the day she moved out. Miscarriage happened due to an empty sac (fetus stopped growing after implantation). Renter is suspecting it is due to the residual smoke smell and great mental disturbance they caused. What misdemeanor is it and how likely will renter win?
How a case is charged and prosecuted is decided by the police and the DA. If you want to speak with a civil lawyer regarding this issue, I would call a real estate lawyer in your area who is willing to represent you. A mere suspicion is not evidence. You would have to have documented evidence of such to proceed with a case with merit.
