I was sentenced July 2016 for a DUI my suspension was technically over a year ago, but I'm just in the process of trying to get it reinstated. I contacted them about what the requirements are now that I live out of State (TX). Of course one of which is a Drug and Alcohol course. I see there are a couple of online courses offered for the 20hr NH program. What are the chances they will allow this? I've read you have to have it approved by them....just wondering how flexible they are about doing this.
It's very unlikely that an online class will be an acceptable substitute. There may, however, be an equivalent course in Texas that you can attend in place of the NH course.
It would be foolish to take some general statement that an attorney posted online and rely on it as legal advice specific to your circumstances. Small differences between client circumstances can have tremendous impact on the best course for the case. Just ask a lawyer. The initial consultation is free.
