My brother has recently lied to a girl about his name and she has been trying to contact him, but he has totally dismissed her. She recently has been playing on his phone, continuously messaging me on social media and all of my family. She has gone as far to take pictures of my tag, my mom's tag, and his tag to find out his real name. She has sent me messages stating that she is going to run the tag in and get his name. On 4/27/2016 she sent him a text with his real name, social, and birthday because her aunt that works at the DMV gave her the info.
There are two issues at play here. The first one is the use of the internet and telephone to harass you and your family. This is not ok and you should consider reporting this to the police. Harassing phone calls are a crime. The second one is the apparent improper use of the NCIC/MJIC computer system to access vehicle registration information and drivers license information. This is also a serious issue, and while it may or may not be criminally illegal, it is a violation of the permissible uses of that particular law enforcement database. You should also consider reporting that to the police as well. However, I would try to avoid reporting it to the law enforcement agency that this person's aunt works for. There are at least two or three options you have to choose from in every county, so choose one she doesn't have a connection to. Good luck.
