for the 2 years home residency calculation is they start after termination of the J visa research scholar program. or the period that I visit my home country while I am j can be reduced from the 2 years ( if I visited my home country for 2 months is this reduced from the 2 years)
Logically it would be after you complete your J1 program, not during your J1 program.
