We have been an Ebay seller with the highest ratings since 2003. We primarily sell Cds and DVds.
In July 2018 we expanded and went into the Adult Photograph Print category.
As such, we invested in the latest equipment to provide hi-resolution prints. We listed approximately 2,000 items and moved from a Premier Store to an Anchor Store.
On Friday October 12, 2018, without notice, Ebay removed the category from ALL sellers stores and is now no longer visable. The items are still active on Ebay but cannot be searched. We have had no new sales since that time.
We have spoken to Ebay on 6 different occasions about this and were told 6 different things from – the category is being eliminated to they are aware of the situation. With no further explanation.
Since we no longer have sales we asked Ebay if we can remove our items and revert back from an Anchor store to a Premier store. We were told that we are under contract and cannot. An anchor store costs us $300.00/month while a Premier
You did not state any of the language regarding your contract with eBay other than it cost $300 a month. However typically companies and their contract state they can make changes anytime they wish. On the other hand, you may be able to argue that the shift in policy entirely frustrates the purpose of the contract.
Have the agreement reviewed by an attorney if eBay refuses to let you out of it, and the contract will cost you enough money to make it worth hiring an attorney.
