I know someone in county jail that they signed for 5 years in TDC last week , but their next court date that comes up on the county website judicial records search now shows something for February of 2015 "set type other" "comments issue bench warrant " so what does that mean? and are they staying in county until then?
It just means that before he is released to TDC, he will have to handle this is misdemeanor case first.

This could mean a few things. Your friend most likely knows the answer.
#1) Your friend may have had a trial or other setting in February 2015 that just stays on the computer system. In this instance he or she would just be waiting until the TDC bus comes probably this week.
#2) Your friend may be testifying against a co-defendant or were a witness in another trial. It is pretty common to keep a witness or co-defendant in the county jail until the upcoming trial.
Hope this helps, talk to your friend.
