If you are of legal age and the videos are legal (not of minors, etc.), then it is legal for you to watch them. The police won't be monitoring you just for watching adult movies.
If you are over 18, are not showing them to minors and the content of your movies of choice are not illegal (no child pornography, etc), then it's legal to watch pornography.
Nothing about that should trigger police monitoring your activities. Enjoy.
The above answer is for general information only and is based on the information you posted. Every case is fact dependent, so to get a thorough analysis of your situation, you will need to consult face to face with an attorney licensed to practice in the jurisdiction where the incident took place. Do not conclusively rely on any information posted online when deciding what to do about your case.
As mentioned by other attorneys, the legality of the content of the films could be an issue, but I would also be concerned with how this person is obtaining "a lot" of adult movies. For several years firms have been aggressively pursuing illegal downloaders of adult films because of rampant pirating. Essentially people would get a letter asking for thousands of dollars or they would be sued for copyright infringement and the whole world would find out they were downloading porn. Because this tactic is somewhat extortionist, there has been some pushback from courts and internet service providers recently. But, there is still a risk of this happening if the person is downloading copyrighted movies without paying for them through a legitimate adult entertainment company.
