i felt the need to enter a guilty plea for a commercial crime I did not commit so that I could be released from jail. I did not know I was going to be on parole for 2 years (highly unnecessary for a first misdemeanor offense) but I was just happy to be released from jail soon. Well one of the stipulations for my release was to sign a contract to be on parole and the terms and conditions that I morally didnt want to sign but signed the contract because it was the only thing standing between me and my physical freedom. Can I rescind the contract due to undue influence.
It sounds that you would face an uphill battle to prove undue influence. However, this might be serious enough that you would want to at least consult with a criminal defense attorney to advise you and possibly represent you and fight to have your rights protected. Avvo is an excellent source for helping you to locate well qualified experienced criminal defense attorney in your area. Best wishes.
