I was offered my position with the stipulation that I would move closer to my territory so that I wouldn't quit after a few months of commuting.
Unless you have a written contract, you are an employee at will, and can be terminated without a reason. You haven't said if there is such an agreement. If they are making this offer, it is reasonable to get the agreement in writing, and you can show it to an attorney to make sure you are protected.
