I got pulled over in Ohio at the Chillicothe VA. They happened to see small consumer fireworks in my back seat (small amount of firecrackers and bottle rockets). My GPS sent me that way to go to greenfield Ohio to avoid highways. They said they seen the fireworks from the spot they were sitting at and ended up giving me a 55 dollar ticket. I was just passing through to hit a road that led me to my destination. Is this lawful? I wasn’t lighting them off. They just happened to be on my seat. I feel as if they gave me a ticket for no reason at all.
You haven't provided enough information--what was the ticket for? Without that, there's no way to tell whether it's legitimate.
