Two weeks ago I found out I have a warrant for my arrest and it's a felony warrant for failure to register as a sex offender the warrant is in Texas. It all started when me and my wife got into an argument. My registered address has a sex offender is in Mexico but the police know that I crossed the bridge everyday to come to work. Well me and my wife got into a domestic dispute and she told the police that I live here in America so now they have a warrant for my arrest for failure to register is there anyway I can take care of this warrant without going to jail? My wife went to the police station and told the police that she made a false report and that it wasn't true that I do live in Mexico. But the police told her they could do nothing and they could not take back the warrant that I had to be arrested. Is that right? Or is there a way I can take care of this warrant without having to get arrested? Because I will not turn myself in and let myself be arrested for something that is totally unjustified and not true.
Contact a TX attorney and see what he/she can do?
FYI, the State decides what is justified, not the suspect.

The only way you will do that is to get a very good criminal defense attorney to push your cause. All you are going to do without an attorney is get arrested. Start assembling all your records to show that you live in Mexico, such as utility bills, etc.
