They confiscated my guns and I want them back.
Yes, you can contest a restraining order. You should hire an attorney familiar with the process at the court where your case is. You will not be able to possess firearms or ammunition for the duration of the restraining order. Doing so is a crime. If your firearms are in law enforcement custody they will remain there until the restraining order is lifted or expires. And even then you may need an attorney to assist you in getting them back; especially if they had to seize them and you didn't surrender them on time, since they could consider those illegally possessed by you and thus a nuisance. There is a lot of information on getting firearms returned from law enforcement custody that you should check out. But before you even worry about that, you need to seek assistance in fighting the restraining order in the first place. In the meantime, do not discuss this matter with anyone other than an attorney. And do not post any more facts on here.

Hire an attorney. You will get your guns back only if the restraining order is dropped or if you win the trial/hearing.
