Back in 2011 I was caught driving with a suspended licence and no insurance in East Brunswick NJ. I went to court and plead to driving with out insurance. I was given a fine to pay and 180 hours community service. I paid the fine but did not finish the community service that I was set to do but I was a volunteer EMT which I put in average 275 hours a year for four years.
Probably not. Community service has to be monitored by the probation department so there is accountability and a way to track your compliance.
Although this advice is offered in good faith and is intended to be accurate and helpful, it is no substitute for a full consultation with an attorney of your choice, and it does not establish an attorney-client relationship between us. However, I will be happy to speak with and meet you if I can help you here in New Jersey, where I have been licensed for 30 years. I accept criminal, military, ethics/professional responsibility cases, and basic estate planning matters. Good luck and best wishes with your legal issue. Regards, Lee A. Gronikowski
An Attorney can ask for you, but probably not, and this will eventually lead to a non compliance issue. If you have not been summoned by the court, I would contact the probation department and at least complete the hours now if they will let you otherwise you will have to go back to court and I suggest a good lawyer.

You need to clear that service with probation. An attorney may be able to have it count. Judge brown is a great Judge.
