My friend owns a mobile home in his name and everything. The only thing is that it is on his brother's property. I'm not actually sure what the details are, but they had some differences and my friend wants his mobile home moved.
My friend then later tried to have it moved to a different location and was told he couldn't. He went to court over it and they said since his brother has not paid his taxes on the property since 2014 they will not be able to move it.
Is there another way to have it moved? This mobile home is 100% my friend's and he has the title to it. I don't understand why it cannot be moved off of his brother's property.
It depends on whether it is titled as a mobile home which is personal property or whether it was permanently affixed to the land and became real property. If the mobile home is part of the real estate tax assessment I can see why they would not want it moved. However, if the real estate is only a plot of land (look in public records), then there is no reason why your friend cannot move the mobile home. It would be no different if your friend parked a motorcycle on his brother's property. If it is personal property and it is titled in his name then he can move it off his brother's land.

If your friend really owns it, he should have the title or be able to get a duplicate title from PennDOT. If this is the case, then he should have no problems moving it.
If the title was cancelled, then the mobile home is considered real estate. To move it, he would need to obtain a new title after cancellation. To do this, one of the things he will need is a title search showing that there are no mortgages, judgments or liens on the property. If there are, he will need a release of the lien.
