I have an open Cps case with my children. I have one child that I have been unsuccessful with, who has been adopted. My other two kids will soon be adopted later this year. I'm currently pregnant, and would like to know if I leave the state will there be a chance I can keep this baby when I give birth.
Your chances may be better if you are in another state when you deliver your baby but there is a reason you do not have your other children. If you deliver a baby that has drugs in its system they will immediately take the baby from you no questions asked. If drugs are the problem, you must make a decision between the drugs and your child.
Yes. You may avoid CPS in this jurisdiction by moving to another state.
Your victory may be short-lived if CPS in this jurisdiction contacts CPS in your new home state.
