Approximately 10 years ago, I was prescribed for alprazolam, 3/.5mg daily for anxiety without being told about the addictive effect that it has. Now I'm addicted. Currently physicians are leary to prescribe this medication as they don't fully understand and haven't personally dealt with withdrawal from alprazolam, leaving me to withdraw cold turkey. It's been a nightmare. Loss of jobs and mental incapacitation have been the result. Your advice and counsel are appreciated. Thanks
