Father passed w/o a will. Property/Condo was paid off and titled in his name. He was divorced. I am one of three surviving children. Because we do not agree to equally own the property together, I would like to buy my sisters out. The estate is not closed yet; will likely close in late July/August. I am the legal administrator of the estate. My estate attorney has letters of consent from both sisters that I can purchase the property at its SDAT value. I have been told that I need to wait for the estate to close before I can purchase the property.
There is no reason why you cannot complete the purchase now. If there are parties with an interest in the estate permission of the court can be sought for the sale.
No thats not true just speak to your estate attorney and stop talking to everyone else.
