my stepdaughter was living with her Grand mother on her mother's side for 11 years. 1 /1/2 years ago she came to live with us. the Father has never signed any guardianship papers either when she was an infant or recently. Monday the Grand mother went to her school and showed the principal set of guardianship papers which allegedly has the Father's signature on it, and grabbed her out of her school. we have never been shown said paper work. we would like to be shown this paper work because we suspect it may be forged by the Father's mother. she has forged his name prior and used his social security number to get utilities on in his name before he was 18. Both Grandmother's are best friends and considering the history we need to see this document. Please advise the best legal way to ask for it
You could hire an attorney to challenge the guardianship and request the document during discovery.
