I had to call a locksmith because my key no longer worked because the locks are so old. I notified my landlord and was told that no one could assist me for 3 days, meaning I’d be locked out of my home for three days. Is my landlord responsible for reimbursement of the locksmith charges?
Your situation doesn’t fit well with the statute about withholding rent due to the short notice and time sensitive situation. Unless you are going to file suit over the locksmith’s fee, it doesn’t really matter whether an attorney opines one way or the other. (I’m not suggesting that you sue.)
