I went to my dentist 2 mo ago to contour gums. He did my veneers 4 years ago and the work was fine, but a few things since have made me question his intentions. While in his chair, he took it upon himself to file in betw my teeth- as to aesthetically "tweak" his previous work. The appt was already rushed, and he was very rough. My gums were bloody from the laser contour and from the coarse "tape" file that was sawed back and forth between my teeth.
I got home and immediately noticed a crack in my front veneer. I took a picture and sent it to office letting them know that the impact of his work cracked my tooth. They told me he'd look at it on my the appt. 2 days later, one of my side veneers fell off while I ate a salad. I told them, and received same response. At the appt, I told him I feared the tooth would chip off- he dismissed my concern and simply buffed my tooth. He then replaced my side "veneer" that fell off, unbeknownst to me with a cheap material, NOT a legit veneer. Now, the side "veneer" is corroded on the gumline and as I was chewing bread, my front veneer chipped in half. They are charging me to replace. I'm so stressed. Is this ok? What can I do??
You can find a new provider. But your allegation is concerning. If you have proof that this dentist harmed you for personal gain, file a complaint with your state dental board.
