I sent a certified cashier check from Wells Fargo to Santander Consumer USA for our part of a partial payoff for the sale of our fifth wheel trailer to the location they required. I sent it USPS with tracking and a request for signature once received. It's been two weeks of trying to find out why the funds have not been applied to the loan. The cashier check has not been process purr Wells Fargo.
They can't seem to find the check. The loss of this check is holding up the buyers from paying their end of the loan and mean while we're accruing interest and payments.
Per the USPS, was the letter delivered? If so, did you confirm the address it was delivered to was the correct address for payments to Santander?
If it was not delivered, be mindful letters sent needing a signature can sometimes take a long time due to people refusing to sign. If no one signs, it can take close to a month to come back to you.
If it was delivered, but to the wrong address, it can take time for large companies to move things to the correct location.
