Unfortunately, I was holding NJ Probationary License when pulled over. I got it transferred to full license one day after. Driving with 57mph at 35mph speed limit, a small NY town in the middle of high way... I am thinking of plea not guilty and ask for settlement. But I am not sure what the prosecutor would offer for settlement. Is it possible to be no points but fines?
Any moving violation in NY, no matter what you amend it to, will be 2 points in NJ. So get the least NY points you can (because they will charge you surcharges), and it will transfer back to NJ as 2 points even if NY gives you zero points. No one amends a speeding ticket to a non-moving violation

NY stuff needs to ask of an NY attorney. @ points would come across unless it is changed to a non-moving violation I believe.
