I have a domestic violence injunction in force against my estranged wife. It prevents either of us leaving Duval county with the children. I had primary time sharing. My mother passed away unexpectedly out of state and I had to go to attend to some of the arrangements. My brother also had to come in from Texas so I could not delay. It was not my wife's time for visiting and she was out of state anyway so she could not have gotten the children. I notified my (former) attorney and he said he would take care of everything here. My wife filed a petition for contempt and I lost all contact privileges with our children and at the hearing I was only able to regain every other weekend for time sharing. Her attorney says I should have gotten permission from her before leaving the county.
