I have a restraining order placed against me by the family law court. It was a tactic to get full custody by my ex wife. I technically agreed to the terms of the order due to poor legal advice. I know people with restraining orders placed by criminal convictions that were able to get it lowered to no negative contact. What are my options?
You can but you'll need to show the court that you are making efforts to change whatever behavior caused it to be issued in the first place (even if the allegations aren't true) like anger management and parenting classes.
