My brother and sisters biological father walked out their life when before my sister was even born (my sister is 13 my brother is 14. So that's 14 years they haven't even known their biological father) so that's why I'm wondering if they would need his permission BC he has NEVER been in their life NEVER texted them or asked about them and NEVER played child support
I depends on if there was a finding of paternity or not. Though, in the end, it would be about the same. Mom can sue to terminate the rights of the old dad and new dad can petition to adopt. Permission makes the process shorter and easier, but it can be granted over even an objection on those facts.
