I was laid off from RADIOSHACK in 2013. I applied for unemployment in Ohio and I was told that I did not work long enough but I worked 2 1/2 consecutive years and do not understand why I did not receive unemployment. Now I live in Florida and am unemployed again due to the same circumstance and unemployment is telling me I need to file in Ohio because most of my income over the last two years was earned there. In both cases a severance pay was offered. I did not quit my job or have any lapse in employment.
A claim for benefits in 2013 is untimely and has passed. As for your current claim, it is unclear from your post how long you have worked in FL and for the most recent employer. Without that information it is difficult to give you any meaningful guidance.
