A couple coworkers said I leave them alone on the floor and go hang out in the back room. Not true. If there is nothing going on I would go do things that need done to stay busy. If the store got busy all they had to do is ask and I'm there. They complained to my boss and his boss. My boss acted as if "they said it so it must be true" no chance to rebut their accusations or anything. At that point I was getting 15 to 20 hours overtime me a week because I was s hard worker who never turned down extra hours. My boss called me his right hand man. After the allegations, my bosses boss told him I was not allowed in the back room, my overtime has dried up, my coworkers treat me differently. I did write my bosses boss am email stating my side of things and even brought the actions of a coworker to light. All I got was retalliation.
Legally, this is fine, they don't have to investigate or properly investigate this type of complaint from your coworkers.
