I recently missed a hearing for child support on my second son. I am already paying for one child so my phone number and address are readily available through DOR yet somehow West Palm Administration failed to send me a letter or call to inform me of the hearing. They went ahead and filed the final order even though I was not present and my son's mother informed them there were discrepancies in the order yet they still proceeded with it. Is there any legal action I can pursue in this situation?
You can request a rehearing, you need to do that as soon as possible, the order should indicate the method to do so. It would depend on the type of order.
