Hypothetically, let's say one party owns a property, and another party rents an apartment on the property next door. The party that owns his home has set up a target for shooting an assortment of guns right on the boundary. It's just about 500 feet from the renters dwelling.
The party that owns the land seems to take pride in target practicing when the renter is walking his dog in the yard. Is it legal to shoot with people that close by?
Why not let the Sheriff or N.Y. State Police determine the discharge of firearms in the location you described is a violation of local and or State law? Police know how to measure minimum legal distance and if firearm use is ever allowed in your municipal community.
