when I go into work I am required to hand over my cell phone then, when I clock out for my break I am not allowed to have it back nor am I allowed to leave the building. is it legal for them to require that I stay in the building while clocked out for my break and that they also will not give me my cell phone back? Also I am a minor and my mother does not want me to hand over my phone in case of an emergency do I have the right to tell them no?
"...do I have the right to tell them no? "
Yes you do. And they have the right to fire you.
