A couple months ago I found out I was pregnant, soon After I found out he started to get violent. He never hit me but he made horrible threats about other people and even threatened to kill his mom. I reported. But nothing was done. He’s 19 I’m 15..I was to give the baby up for adoption, but he always wants to have sole custody...he scares me so much and I never want him to be able to get custody. I’m not putting him on the birth certificate..and now his mom is reaching out to my mom asking if I’m still pregnant. Could we tell them I miscarried? She said if we don’t respond she would go down other avenues..and I don’t know what those would be...please help me!!!
I know it sounds terrible, but I once had a judge ask a mother why she hadn't told an abusive father the exact same thing. Other attorneys may jump all over me, but your other option at your age is an abortion. The worst issue is that besides violating YOU, your "boyfriend" violated section 2907.04 of the Ohio Revised Code: Unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. You and your mom need to go to the county prosecutor's office (not the police) NOW. Miami County has a victim's advocate's office to help you out, Monday through Friday (937) 440-5960. MIAMI COUNTY VICTIM WITNESS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. They can also be reached thru 911; and will help with court, counseling etc. for free. Please call them, give your mom my thanks for helping you, and stay away from your rapist and his mom. Best of luck to you in this new year.
