My fellow coworkers and I believe our manager is modifying their timecard to make it seem as if they have worked more hours than they actually have. What laws would this be violating? If it is violating any laws.
It is very unlikely that the Manager would add hours. However, it is not illegal for the employer to overpay an employee. Most cases we see are instance where the time-card is altered to show less hours. That would be illegal. Track your hours and compare them to the paid hours to verify the belief.
