A former friend of mine told me that he can’t open a bank account otherwise the state of California can come after him for missed child support payments. He’s also running a business without a business license, and assumingely, not paying business taxes either. I’m just wondering what the laws are, so that I can caution him about the risks he’s taking.
This seems like an odd question from a friend, it seems more likely the mother would ask this. If a business license is required, a business license is required. Perhaps a return to court is in order to enforce support payments.
