I am a stay home mom of four minor children going through a divorce limbo phase, marriage of 18 yrs. We haven’t filed for dissolution yet and still living under the same roof. I have never worked during the course of marriage and only raised my children all these years. My husband has been filing tax returns jointly. I am not sure if there is a need for me to hire an attorney that also specializes in tax law, given my situation.
An ordinary divorce attorney is all you need. Your situation is not at all unusual. Good luck.
This is general advice. You are anonymous. If you PM me i won’t know what it’s about.
If you are looking to get divorced in California, then you definitely need to hire a licensed California Family Law Attorney to represent you and help you out on an immediate basis in order to make sure that your rights and interests are protected.
