We made a handwritten agreement with a lady. Its saying that we are buying a Trailor for 7000. With a 1000 down and 500 amonth until pd off. Now she is saying it was supposed to say being sold for 8000. Im scared once we pay the 7000 she's gonna say we still owe 1000. What can we do
Yes, a handwritten agreement is enforceable, and she cannot offer testimony that would change the terms of the written agreement. Keep records of all your payments, in case there is a problem.
It is enforceable. I agree with the prior attorney that you should keep all your payment records. However, if you are concerned about continuing to pay her then you should visit a local attorney. Certain options may be available to determine your rights before you have spent $7,000 on a trailer for which you cannot get clean title.
