I have full custody of my daughter she is 17 I raised her for 7 years without her ever asking or wanting to see her mom. My daughter moved out to live with her boyfriend. Is my court order void now. My daughter is scared cause her mom lives with a sex offender and they order says he is not allowed to contact indirect or direct and he messaged her three time on Facebook so is my order still good or not even if she does not live in my house.
The custody order is effective until she is 18 but there is an argument that she essentially is emancipated by moving out of the home with your permission. Regardless, she is still a minor and is being contacted by a convicted sex offender (you don't say at which level he is registered). Even leaving aside the sex offender conviction, she is being repeatedly contacted by someone that she presumably has told to leave her alone and with whom there obviously is some sort of history. My strong suggestion is a call to the police with your daughter, providing them with screen shots of the messages, and telling them what is happening. Do not try to resolve this issue on your own.
