The school does not need your permission to change their curriculum. If they want to add more classes to a certain degree program, they can do so without student consent. Since it is a private school, a local lawyer would have to look at the contract and related paperwork you signed. Some schools have a policy stated in their contract that when you are enrolled in a certain major, you will be automatically enrolled in the next series of classes for that major, if you don't withdraw by a certain date, it will be automatically charged to you. It is hard to assess without seeing the paperwork. I would get a consultation with a local lawyer who can review all the paperwork and tell you what your rights are.
