My son received a ticket for no insurance and he was under ours which lapsed and we were unaware until this time we had always been insured and never received notice and did not know we will have insurance by his court date will this or can it be released?
He should procure insurance now and bring proof to court. Either it gets dismissed or a greatly reduced fine likely.
Late insurance compliance is always better than no insurance compliance. Whether he gets fined or not will depend on the prosecutor when it comes time to show proof of insurance in Court

Bringing in proof of late compliance will avoid a conviction and license suspension, However he will be required to carry SR22
