Disposition of Mine and My Beloved Pets Cremated Remains. Only my pets have given me truly unconditional love in my lifetime and it is most important to me that each of my cremated pets' remains and mine (I am pre-planning and updating my will, praying that at least my final wishes will be honored), are buried together (ideally, vaulted permanently above ground). I live in southwestern NYS. In what states is it legal to bury pets and humans cremated remains together (NY, PA, or any other states), and what type of cemetery, pet or human? I am trying to ensure that we will be able to finally rest in peace, and never be moved.
New York and New Jersey allow cremated human remains to be buried with a pet, but only in a pet cemetery. New York’s pet cemeteries cannot charge a fee for the service and are barred from advertising that they offer it.
