We assisted the family member when she needed some help. It’s been 6 months with NO financial assistance at all. We have been basically booted out of our own kitchen. We have two small children. One has special needs. She continuously leave the front door open which have him slip out of the house unsupervised. He is 4 years old. This is endangering his life. She not only takes over the kitchen she steel our food in the kitchen and hides it in her bedroom causing a roach investation. My wife, kids and I have been forced to eat only take away (which is extremely expensive) we really cannot afford it. We struggle to pay all bills as it ease. This person runs up the electric and water bills. We have asked her to leave and her response was that we have to file for an eviction notice which we cannot afford. What does the law in Kentucky states? Do I have to file for a eviction order or am I allowed to simply put her out of the house
You will need to file an eviction. You will need to give her a written notice to vacate prior to filing your eviction.
