In the state of PA, I had an arguement with someone...they proceded to taunt me, telling me to hit them, I ignored them & turned to walk away. The person then spit on me so I pushed their face away. I did not spit at this person, nor did I hit or punch them, I simply pushed them away from me. Did I commit a crime or did the person that spit on me? What is the crime? What is the punishment?
If someone comes to spit on you and you push them away I would suggest that is not a crime. If you spit on them without provocation or for a legitimate reason then it could be anything from harassment to disorderly conduct to assault.
