My I-485 has been pending for more than 1 year. The employer wants to move from one state to another state.
1) Is that OK that I work in another state the same job?
2) We filed I-485 supplement J concurrently with I-485 that the job is available in the first state. Do we need to file another I-485 j for portability of job to another state?
There would not seem to be any problem with continuing to work in the same job with the same employer, at a new location. Moving to a new location with the same job and same employer would not seem to constitute "porting". However, if the employer has more than one location, then there could be an issue of paying a wage which is lower than the one required for the new location.

It is OK that a green card applicant work in another state for the same job for the sponsoring employer.
