I had the mirena inserted over 3 years ago. When i would go to have it checked to make sure it was still in place my obgyn a
could never locate the strings & I would get an ultrasound then she was able to see it was in place. It has been close to 2yrs since my last appointment due to insurance. I have been seen at other clinics to have it checked but of course it could not be located & the clinic dose not have the ultrasound machine. Now on 04/25/12 I finally was seen by a dr at a local womens clinic & learned that it was in place but my previous obgyn cut the strings too short. Now to have it remooved I've been given a medication called misoprostol which causes painful contraction. Can I sue my former obgyn for the pain and suffering im currently experiencing as I type this @5;34am on 04/26/12
I am sorry for the pain and inconvenience you are suffering, but unless there was a serious permanent injury, it would not make sense to consider a medical malpractice action. These cases are very expensive to investigate and prosecute, and if there was no major injury, a lawyer can't afford to handle it.
