i was headed up to my buddys cabin with my buddy we passed his buddy that owed him elk steak and a little money for a four wheeler we stoped and started talking talking to the man when he didnt like the fact my buddy wanted his payment he got violent twords my friend i asked him to stop several times and he would not stop i got out of the truck with a hunting rifle pionted it in the sky and tried firing a warning shot in the air the gun jamed so i took it back in the cab of the pickup barrel down and tried dissloging the bullet when i did the gun went off and shot straight down in the dirt the guy stop pushing and shoving my friend we got in the truck and went to the cabin i did talk to a gem county sheriff and gave my statement he gave me a two week range if anything happens he would be back well he didnt come back so like he told me i waited and nothing so i went back to my home in California and about four months later i find out from my family that i had a warrent

The warrant might not be extraditable from California. They can set that on the warrant and I do not know the general practice in Gem County. You should assume that if you get picked up on the warrant in CA, you will likely be transported back to Idaho.
For the criminal case, you will need to hire counsel or ask the court to appoint counsel. The cop's "two week" thing is not part of the law - he was just guessing how long it might take the prosecutor to make a decision, and he guessed wrong.
The "most wanted" thing is just something done by most every county sheriff, and even bail bond companies. And I guess even radio stations.
