Moved from Chicago to Florida in 1988. Got a dui in Fl. In 1988 with Illinois license, but was FL resident. I did all mandatory events for Fl. and got Fl. License. In 2010, after interstate record share, Illinois revoked my DL which meant I couldn't renew. I paid Illinois $500.00 + $50.00 + $50.00. I had a out of state hearing, counseling, verifications of remorse etc. I received notice my IlL. privlidges are GRANTED by Sec. Of State of Illinois in 2010. I try to renew January 2018, in Fl. But they said Illinois revoked license. I emailed OOH in llinoise & theyre saying I didn't get SR-22 insurance within a year. I read everything thoroughly and nothing in there says anything about getting SR-22 insurance. I have the letter showing that I completed everything above and beyond the satisfaction of the state and now when I call they tell me I'll have to go through the hearing again. Does this sound right to you or is this just a way for Illinois to get more money from me. I really think I paid the price for this. I probably had the SR-22 insurance in 1988 by the Florida mandate. It was 30 years ago I don't remember but my life is ruinrd because I drive for a living. Losing faith
If you were still living in Florida as it seems to indicate here I think it’s probably cheaper for you and more fission to find a lawyer in Chicago for it to go to the DMV for you to see if that can be straightened out
