My friend is 30 year old male and he sent some naked pictures and sexting to a female that just turn 17. He believes her parents are looking into who she been talking to and is not sure what kind of trouble he faces. Lives in kentucky
Well, if he gets a call from an angry father---who demands money no to go to the police the "friend" is being scammed and---was never sexting to a female, likely he was sexting a couple guys in a basement having a laugh and setting him up as a sucker. If on the other hand he is met by police who arrest him---he may be put on trial for any number of sex crimes and become a lifetime registered and convicted sex offender. Many would offer that in either case---the friend is getting what he deserves..... He should immediately stop all communication with the child. Hopefully its a scam and no child has been harmed.

Agree with Mr. Rafter. This sounds like a common scam where the alleged father will ask for money not to report to police. There is no father or daughter. Ignore them and do not pay.
The charge he is facing is distribution of pornography to a minor. It is an enhanceable offense and the first offense is a Class A Misdemeanor. I am fairly certain it is a required 10 year registry on the sex offender registry. The upshot is that you get your own website and people can find you. The downside is that people in Kentucky use that registry to find people and kick their ass.
