I agree with Attorney Frieders. While the child's mother was in jail, you should have petitioned the court for custody. If there is an ex parte OFP, you will need to request a hearing where the mother will have to prove her case. Consult an attorney about this as soon as possible. If LAOC cannot help, try Southern Minnesota Legal Services (SMRLS).
